Navigate’s clients work with us because they expect us to design solutions and provide them with peace of mind in regard to their financial plan. Navigating tens of thousands of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, media recommendations, and the impact they might have in an investment portfolio can be overwhelming.
Our singular passion is to study, edit and siphon the very best choices to customize the client’s long term comprehensive financial plan.
Navigate’s clients have different circumstances that require us to understand their situation and develop an individual plan that fits their needs and desires. Many are entering a time of financial transition. Some may be stepping into retirement; some may be obtaining liquidity resulting from a business transition; others may be moving from a tax-deferred account to acquire more personalized management.
We have found that, among our clients, there is a common thread: peace of mind.
• Most of our clients are over the age of 50
• Own between $1 – $10 million in investable assets
• Want to be stewards to family and heirs
• Own small businesses and are planning to exit their business within 5 years
• Are women in a transitional phase of their lives
• Are overwhelmed and not confident in making financial decisions
• Are insistent upon absolute confidentiality
Navigate has a straightforward system of gathering information necessary to develop and implement a plan to meet clients’ goals. It consists of a series of face-to-face conversations to lay the groundwork for the customized plan.
We meet with the prospective client and decide together if it is a good fit. We discuss the current situation, the client’s goals for wealth management, and if Navigate could add significant value. Together, we can advise whether it’s a good fit for both, whether the client should consider staying put, or whether we could recommend a different adviser who might better serve the client.
A discussion occurs regarding specific recommendations and a course of action to begin to achieve client’s wealth management goals and objectives.
This is a very important step where all necessary documents are reviewed to begin implementation of the plan. This meeting would signal the beginning of action.
This meeting is to fill any cracks if there should be any. Any loose ends would be knotted and account statements are reviewed in detail. Also, we review paperwork received from the client and other professionals to ensure proper measures have been taken to proceed.
Either a quarterly or semi-annual meeting with the client occurs either in-person or via video-conferencing to review progress and take action on financial planning.
Written reports are issued once per quarter, clients will receive an annual review, or they may receive reports on demand.
Peace of mind comes from our clients knowing that we are available for them when they need us.
Navigate is an independent wealth adviser. That means we have no financial products to sell, and the recommendations we make are made because they are in the best interests of our clients.
We are fee-only advisers. That means that the only fee we receive is what is paid directly to us from our clients, and we do not receive any commissions from any investment company. Our fee is based on a percentage of assets under management.
Navigate does not safe keep securities in our offices. We safe keep client assets with a qualified custodian and our clients receive independent statements from the custodian in addition to our customized reports. This places our clients in a position of overview, control, and security. We operate like your personal CFO.
